HISTORY

For over 50 years we have been a hub for sewing machine enthusiasts in Queensland Australia.

The company Overton's Trading Company Pty Ltd known as Overton's Sewing Centre was founded by Dereck & Norma Overton in 1960 using fruit boxes as demo & display tables covered with table cloths and only $20 in the bank to get started.

The business has stayed in the family ever since. Paul Overton is now the owner of the business then acquiring the Allcraft Sewing Machines name in 2008.

To this day clients of ours can enjoy our friendly customer service, specialist knowledge of sewing machines and our ability to repair almost any machine.

Having Shops in Brisbane's Morningside, Cannon Hill, Ann Street Brisbane, Toowong, Palm Dale, Garden City, MtGravatt, Sunnybank and Tweed Heads South over the years, We have now closed all shops to take our business on-line and to work from home. Without the big rents we can pass on the discounts to our customers. We are one of the few sewing machine businesses that give a 12 months warranty on our work.
